The Swedish Chemicals Agency has during the year inspected consumer electronics sold in Swedish Stores or web shops. During 2016 more than 150 electronic and electric products were looked over. The authority has chosen consumer electronics used regularly in our homes such as mobile charger, USB- cables, lamps, light chains and headphones. 


More than one third of the products contained to high concentrations of forbidden chemical substances. 

Lead, cadmium, chlorinated paraffin’s and phthalates has mainly been analyzed.

The analyses have been carried out by ALS laboratories.
