ALS offers accredited urine analysis for the determination of 68 metals (elements). The main function of urine is to remove substances no longer required by the body. This includes for example toxic elements from food, working environment or medicines. A urine analysis will thus provide information on potential exposures to metals but also the progress of detoxification of elements.

For sampling of professionals exposed to metals in the work environment, ALS recommends that the sample is taken after the last workday of the week. ALS also offers creatinine analysis in order for our clients to account for urine dilution effects.

ALS Scandinavia offers urine analysis by high-resolution ICP-MS (ICP-SFMS). Our accredited analytical method covers 68 elements.
