We are now able to offer analysis of PFAS in activated carbon.
Granular activated carbon (GAC) is widely used to remove PFAS from drinking water. As the carbon gradually becomes saturated, its adsorptive capacity decreases and it must therefore be replaced or reactivated. Reactivation is carried out by heating at high temperatures, during which the contaminants are destroyed.
Analysis of PFAS in activated carbon provides a basis for assessing the degree of saturation. The analysis package includes 21 PFAS compounds and is available with express service, providing results after one business day.
