Accredited analysis of TBT meeting the limit in the Water Framework Directive

ALS Scandinavia now offers accredited analysis of tributyltin, TBT, meeting the limit set in the Water Framework Directive (WFD). Our laboratory in Luleå, Sweden, can now offer accredited analysis of TBT in water with a reporting limit (LOQ) of 0.04 ng/L.

Tributyltin is a priority substance in the Water Framework Directive and has been used as a biocide in antifouling paint, as disinfection agent and a preservative in industries, to mention a few applications. In Europe, some of the most important sources of TBT is water treatment plants, industries and contaminated sediment.
In addition to water analysis, ALS Scandinavia also offers organotin analysis in other sample types including sediment, soil, sludge, biota and more.
