ALS laboratories

Our laboratories

ALS Scandinavia's laboratory in Luleå specialises in elements and isotopes. The Danderyd laboratory focuses on particle and material analyses, physical-chemical water analyses and determination of organic compounds. We also have a close cooperation with other laboratories in the ALS family.

The head office is located in Luleå. Marketing and trade is run both from Stockholm and Luleå. We also have sales offices in Oslo, Copanhagen and Helsinki, and a sample drop off in Gothenburg.

Accreditation

ALS Scandinavia's laboratories in Luleå, Danderyd and Sollentuna are accredited by SWEDAC for several analytical methods (reg nr 2030). The accreditation implies that we are compliant with the international standard ISO 17025. Thus, our accredited operations also fulfil the requirements of ISO 9001:2000. For analysis of organic compounds, ALS Scandinavia also cooperates with accredited European subcontractors. Their accreditations are accepted by SWEDAC as equal to their own accreditations, according to an agreement within EA (European co-operation for Accreditation).

Our history

Today's ALS Scandinavia is the result of the merge in 1998 by SGAB (Svensk Grundämnesanalys AB) and Analytica AB. In August 2002, the company name was changed to Analytica AB.

In January 2004, SWECO Ecoanalys, at the time with a laboratory in Stockholm, was purchased. In January 2006 these operations moved from Stockholm into new premises in Stockholm.

In 2006 Analytica AB was purchased by the ALS Group.
