ALS provides a broad range of sophisticated state-of-the-art services to four main market segments; mining and mineral exploration (ALS Chemex), environmental monitoring (ALS Environmental), equipment maintenance through used lubricant analysis (ALS Tribology) as well as commodity analysis and certification.

ALS Europe has two main laboratories located in Prague (Czech Republic) and Luleå (Sweden), as well as a laboratory specializing in dioxin analyses in Pardubice (Czech republic). With additional smaller labs and sales offices we serve the markets in Norway, Denmark, Finland and Poland. ALS Europe provides testing within the environmental, electronics, food, pharmaceutical, clinical and work environment sectors.
